WOW! We've just found out that we are finalists for a SoGlos award in the Family Day Out of the Year category! It really would mean the absolute world to us if we could win the recognition of this award. We all work so hard at Dinky to bring you the best time when you come and see us and even though we love just seeing everyone enjoying themselves, an award like this would be a huge boost for us after the awful last couple of years everyone has had.Hopefully our lovely customers think the same and we would massively appreciate it if you could all take a few moments to vote for us using the following link...pretty please! www.soglos.com/awards-lifestyleOh and remember to come and see us this Easter hols for a cosy, relaxed, educational play! www.dinkystreet.co.uk/calendar/ ... Dinky Street runs four sessions per day (see Prices & Times) and is open seven days a week. The last session of the day is open for children up to 10 years old!

We even have a cosy, relaxing cafe serving cakes and drinks and now pizza.

Because we are parents ourselves, we think we have a good understanding of what people expect from a good family outing and we hope you agree when you come and visit.

I took the kids (5+2 years) to Dinky Street this morning, they both had a great time, i don't know how booked out the session was but it was really nice and relaxed and not too many people at all. The staff were lovely and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.Kids rate it 28 out of 10 😂😂😂 Thoroughly recommend!

The concept of Dinky Street is fab, a few hours of role playing with friends is the perfect play date for a toddler, which is why we made the decision to take the 50 minute commute this afternoon. Unfortunately though, I wish we hadn’t really bothered. When arriving at Dinky Street, it was very apparent that the session was completely over booked. It was almost impossible for the children to play and use their imagination as the venue was full to the brim. Not only was this disappointing, but... it also meant for a stressful morning due to the age range of children. I really think the cut off should be 5 years old, as my daughter was pushed over numerous times by 8-9 year olds playing tag in and out of the rooms. The age range of children should be reviewed and maybe sessions should be offered for different ages to enable all children to be able to play freely. If you would like a refreshment, or something to eat whilst at Dinky Street, you have to do so in your allotted session time, which I also think is a bit of a flaw. It would make more sense for the ability to use the cafe after the children have used the facility and need to refuel. The nearest place to get something to eat would be the Tesco over the road or a small Subway Shop (not really ideal for toddlers) I’m sorry to say that I would not recommend, and feel we had a wasted trip out, which was a lot more stress than it was worth.read more

We visited dinky street today with our friends and 4 children aged 1-5 and had a really lovely time. The children loved exploring and playing in the different rooms while the adults enjoyed delicious and well priced drinks at the cafe. Will definitely be visiting again

A huge thank you to you all today. I came with my mum and 2 girls and they all loved it. My mum has dementia and watching the girls play is her favourite thing to do so her being able to watch them in such a safe and lovely environment is actually quite hard to find but today we all felt safe and had a great time. The 1.5 hour time limit was plenty for us and we’ll definitely be back.

Went here for the first time yesterday and we will definitely be back! Such a lovely, charming and interesting place for children. Well thought out with so much for the children to do. My 3 year old loved every room and really engaged in all the different role playing activities. Even my 8 month old was well entertained for a couple of hours! Didn’t get a chance to have coffee and cake but it all looked delicious. I totally recommend Dinky Street 👍 Already looking forward to returning soon!

Had our first visit to Dinky Street and my little boy who is 2 1/2 absolutely loved it. Definitely visiting again. He loved each room and there was so much to do. Also loved the cafe so we could have a lovely hot chocolate and the baby toys for our 4 month old. Our boy didn't want to leave so we found him his in the box by the door 🤣

Visited twice this week and it was fantastic for my two and a half year old. Covid measures were done well and I felt completely safe despite initially feeling anxious about going inside anywhere. Served great snacks for little ones and adults 😊 I would definately recommend a visit!

We love dinky street. It doesn’t brake the bank even with multiple children it is still great value! The rooms are amazing with plenty to keep the children occupied and happy having fun! The cafe is cosy and clean! We have been probably around 10+ times and my girls still love going!

If you have small kids, this is a super little place for them to play. Parking across the street is free and the coffee and cake in the cafe are great. Lovely people too.

I took my son and daughter to Dinky street this week. It was half term so I was expecting it to be busy. It was absolutely rammed there were people in the corridor with a pram blocking the way. There was also a group of 3 older boys running around unsupervised and crashing into the little ones. (Upper age limit was supposed to be 7). The place its self was amazing but disappointed that a few people managed to ruin our experience.
