Frequently Asked Questions

Dinky Street is designed for children of 0-7 years as we feel this is the age group that would enjoy our role play most. We are planning to offer sessions for older children, depending on demand.

We are open 7 days a week and our first session starts at 09:30. We close at 17:00.

Your session runs for the predefined 90 minute slot and you can arrive anytime during your session or leave early. You must leave at the end of the session so that we can have a good clean and tidy up ready for the next session.

It is highly recommended to pre book your session to avoid disappointment although we will accept walk ins if there is space in a session. We restrict the number of visitors per session to avoid overcrowding.

Members of staff at Dinky Street will always keep a watchful eye on play but child supervision and care remain the responsibility of the accompanying adult/s whilst at Dinky Street.

We have a dedicated area for children under 1 as well as baby changing facilities and high chairs. We can warm bottles and baby food in our café.

There sure is! Please ask a member of staff for the password.

You are welcome to bring baby food into the café area and your own food for parties when a party has been booked in advance.

There is a selection of cakes and snacks available in our café but no food is allowed into the play area.

Dinky Street has a designated disabled parking bay to the rear of the building with ramped access through the rear doorway. There is also ramped access to the front of the building. Dinky Street is all on one level with wheelchair access throughout although some play areas may be restricted due to their size and any furniture in them. We have one disabled toilet in the building too. Please contact us ahead of your visit if you require any assistance.

There is one disabled parking space to the rear and further free parking available nearby.

We ask you to store your pushchair/pram in our dedicated area near the entrance for health and safety reasons. You are welcome to bring in car seats or slings.
