Terms & Conditions

Customers booking a play session at Dinky Street agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Child Supervision
    1. Children must always be accompanied by an adult (18+), and parents/guardians must always accept full responsibility for the supervision of their children whilst at Dinky Street.
  2. Play Session Tickets and Timings
    1. A play session ticket entitles the holder to a 2 hour or 90 minute minute session determined by the time of session booked. The predefined timings of play sessions are listed on our website.
    2. You must leave at the end of your session no matter when you arrived.
    3. Bookings that have been made online will be confirmed via an email which will contain a booking reference. You must show your booking reference during check in upon arrival as proof of purchase.
    4. One child ticket (1yr+) entitles one child and one free adult (18+) to entry. Additional adult tickets can be purchased. Everyone who enters Dinky Street must have a ticket and we reserve the right to refuse entry if no ticket has been purchased.
    5. We cannot accept infants (0-1yrs) without a fully paying adult or a fully paying child.
    6. Sibling tickets can only be purchased along with another fully paying child (1yrs+) or for twins/triplets who are 0-1yrs.
    7. If ticket prices change our website and booking system will be updated accordingly.
    8. Ticket price does not include any food or drinks but these may be purchased in our café.
    9. Any extra activities will be charged in addition to the usual ticket price.
    10. Pre-booked sessions take priority over those not pre-booked.
    11. Dinky Street reserves the right to close the whole or part of Dinky Street at any time if deemed necessary for the security and safety of guests and staff. Customers will be given the opportunity to re-book their session or receive a refund.
    12. Tickets are not refundable but can be transferred to another session if we are notified 24 hours beforehand.
    13. Dinky Street is open from 09:30-17:00 7 days a week apart from Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day and Easter Sunday. Any changes to this will be updated on our website.
    14. There is no entry into the play area until your play session starts. Please do not arrive any sooner than 5 minutes before your session.
    15. Dinky Street will close for an hour between sessions to allow us to restore the play areas to their original states and so that we can have a good clean and tidy up ready for the next session.
  3. Parties
    1. A party booking includes admission for all children attending the party for a 90 minute play session including eating time. The eating time must be spent in our private party room.
    2. Parties run from 11:30-13:00 daily or 15:30-17:00 for after school parties during the week
    3. There is no charge for adults attending the party with their child (a maximum of one adult per child for non exclusive hire parties).
    4. Party bookings are made by completing our booking form which can be sent to you upon request.
    5. A non refundable £50 deposit is required at time of booking for all options. The remainder of the balance is due 14 days before the party date when we will contact you to request payment. We have the right to cancel your booking if we do not receive this payment.
    6. For a non exclusive hire party, when making the booking please estimate the number of children and adults attending as accurately as possible so that we can ensure we adhere to our capacity levels. We will contact you closer to the party date to confirm numbers again.
    7. You are permitted entry to the party room 15 minutes before the party begins to set up anything required. This entrance is strictly limited to the party room and to the person who made the booking.
    8. When your party booking has been made you will receive a confirmation email from us which will include receipt of your deposit payment.
    9. You can cancel your booking up to 14 days before the party date but your deposit remains non-refundable. Cancellations made later than 14 days before the party date will still be charged the full price. This condition also applies if the final party payment has already been made and received by us. 
    10. Party bookings made within 14 days of the party date must be paid for in full at the time of booking.
    11. The person who made the booking for the party is responsible for the supervision of children during the party along with any adults attending. Dinky Street is not responsible for the supervision of any children.
    12. Please keep your confirmation of booking e mail as we will ask to see this on the day of the party as proof of booking.
    13. The person who makes the booking is responsible for making sure that all attendees to your party are aware of our terms and conditions and our rules of play.
    14.  Normal pricing structure per person applies for parties; every paying child receives one free space and any additional adults are charged as per the additional adult entry price. 
  4. Venue Rules
    1. No smoking including the use of e-cigarettes
    2. Anyone causing damage at Dinky Street will be liable for payment.
    3. Children who are unwell or who have been unwell must not visit Dinky Street for 48 hours. Our transfer policy applies if we are notified within 24 hours of your session.
    4. With the exception of baby food or food for a pre-booked party, only food and drink purchased at Dinky Street can be consumed on site. No birthday cakes are to be brought into Dinky Street unless it is for a pre-booked party.
    5. Shoes must be removed and socks or tights worn in the play area. Please let us know if your child needs shoes for walking.
    6. The maximum capacity of Dinky Street is 70 people inclusive of adults and children.
    7. Only assistance dogs allowed, no other pets
  5. Security & Safety
    1. CCTV is installed throughout Dinky Street to maintain the safety and security of our customers and staff. CCTV monitoring on our premises is for security and training purposes only and is limited to uses that do not violate the individual’s reasonable expectation to privacy.
    2. Feel free to take photographs of your own children but for your personal use only. Please avoid taking pictures of other children.
    3. Dinky Street will only share photos or videos of children or visitors on our website or social media with their written consent.
    4. Dinky Street operates a secure entry system. All visitors must check in before gaining access through our magnetic release door.
    5. We do not accept any liability for any loss or damage to personal property during your visit.
    6. Dinky Street accepts no responsibility for any items left in the pram/buggy allocated area and accepts no liability for any loss or damage to such property during a visit.
